Streamys THP Promo Video

March 22, 2009

So I recognize that every time Felicia Day mentions voting for the Streamys audience choice award on her facebook status or tweets about it, The Hayley Project’s chances get exponentially smaller, even if her fans end up splitting the vote across her different shows (The Guild, Dr. Horrible, The Legend of Neil).

But…. we’ve got to give it the old underdog try. So below is a video we made specifically for the audience choice finalist vote (and to get fans excited about our climatic episode tomorrow). The one thing we have going for us, is that our show is in-season, so our audience is engaged with us. The other wildcard in the voting process is that rabid fans can vote everyday until the 28th. I suppose this is a measure of “how badly the audience wants it”. Either way, our chances are going to be pretty slim, given the much wider reach of the other shows’ audiences.

FYI, if you’re voting at, sometimes the screen will just go black after you vote. I have no idea if it’s counting the vote or not, because there are times it will respond with a “thank you for voting” message. Hopefully, the site is accurate in tracking votes.

My prediction is a Felicia Day show will win… OK, so that’s not a great prediction. If I had to pick, I’m going to say The Guild will win this thing. I love Dr. Horrible and Joss Whedon, but I’m actually rooting for The Guild, because it’s a true web series venture that Felicia and company developed on their own and built from the ground up. It was  also such an original concept and they deserve recognition for the incredible success of that franchise.
