Roommates Launched on MySpace
MySpace launched its first scripted series “Roommates”, sponsored by Ford. Read about it here or watch it here. The series is about eight girls who just graduated from college and moved to LA. It’s in documentary/reality format. The viewers are also able to interact with the characters via their myspace pages.
So I watched the first two episodes today. I’m a little puzzled at how Ford’s brand fits this series. They say they’re targeting just-under-30 year olds. My guess is horny teenage boys will be the main demo for this series (note: first episode has a girl who is changing when a roaming camera intrudes into her room, second episode has girls dancing around, etc…. the producers know who they’re targeting…).
Production quality looks pretty good. Not as polished as Prom Queen, but then again, this follows more of a reality format.
